A conference of All India Film Workers Association (AIFWA) is being planned to be held on October 9, 10 and 11.

At that time, for three days the Kollywood industry would be shut down as per a joint press in Chennai, in which Tamil Film Producers’ Council President Rama Narayanan, the FEFSI President VC Guhanathan and ace film director K Balachander representing the technicians took part.

The shut down is necessary so that the workers, technicians and film folks can participate in the conference which will be held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi as the chief guest. A cultural fest with several actors and actresses is also planned.
